| 09/27/2023 | MINUTE entry before the Honorable Joan B. Gottschall: On 9/20/2023, plaintiff filed its complaint 1 and a motion 5 for leave to file certain documents temporarily under seal and for leave to proceed temporarily under a pseudonym. Plaintiff requested that documents identifying it be temporarily sealed until it obtained expected temporary ex parte relief against defendants allegedly infringing its intellectual property rights. See Mem. Supp. Mot. to Seal & Proceed Under Pseudonym 2-3, ECF No. 6. The next day (9/21/2023), plaintiff filed a notice 10 voluntarily dismissing this case without prejudice. Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(i). Pursuant to the notice 10, this case is dismissed without prejudice. Plaintiff's motion 5 to seal and for leave to proceed temporarily under a pseudonym is denied as moot. Because plaintiff may wish to refile its claim against these defendants, all presently sealed documents shall remain sealed until and including 10/4/2023. If plaintiff wishes to have the seal maintained beyond that date, it must file a motion showing good cause to extend the sealing order to a date certain. See LR 26.2(b). Furthermore, if plaintiff files a motion to seal or seeks any other further relief in this case, it must amend its notice of affiliates to clarify whether any privately held ownership interests qualify for disclosure under Local Rule 3.2(a).
